The project Acadèmia Simfònica was created in 2016, with the following objectives: to encourage orchestras amongst the young music students in the balearic islands; to further their musical knowledge from the experience of learning first-hand what an orchestra is; and also to bring music students closer to a professional orchestra. Their first participation was with gustav mahler’s symphony no.2, “resurrection”.
